On occassion I am able to work from old photos where the quality is not ideal, but this will mean a less detailed portrait and more of a soft focus kind of look. I work with details I can see but am able to make some minor alterations where needed, so please find a photo that best represents how you would want your drawing to look.
Please ensure you have permission to use the photographs you submit.
The process
Up front payment of 50% is mandatory before I start drawing. I work with the finest quality pencils and paper and I like to keep a diary of the creative process. If you would like to be updated with progress let me know beforehand, otherwise I would wait until the end before I share the finished result with you.
Postage
Postage within the UK is included in my prices. Your portrait will be sent with a tracking number and adequate insurance to cover any mishaps. I can post worldwide and additional charges will apply, please ask for a quote. Note I am not liable for any Customs tax that you may be charged, due to tax differences of each country. Your portrait will arrive as a roll, rest assured it will lay perfectly flat once framed. All portraits are unframed/unmounted.
Price List
Prices are based on a single subject graphite portrait. In the case where multiple subjects are required there is a surcharge of £20 per extra subject. Multiple subjects are only avilable on a large portrait due to space. Your portrait commissions will be an adequeate size to fit the paper.

I also work with coloured pencils. If you are interested in a coloured portrait drawing please contact me for an individual quote. I use Lightfast Polychromos from Faber Castell on Clairefontaine Pastelmat paper. Please be aware this is a much more expensive medium so my prices will reflect this.
